Plan your high end Home Theater and make it fun place for family gatherings, to watch a movie, to have a Super Bowl party, play video games or just hang out.

Popcorn, drinks, comfortable seating - all are important parts of your personal home theater. The right lighting, seating, sound and screen will help you create a perfect home theater experience right in your lower level.

If you plan to spend some money on your Home Theater, then you should probably get some expert help.

A team approach is a good way to avoid mistakes. Your team might consist of an idea/design person (interior designer or an architect), home theater video/sound expert, lighting expert and a contractor.

The sky's the limit on the look of your Home Theater. You could create a classic Art Deco theater or an up north atmosphere like we did in the photo below.

In this high end home theater the client wanted an up north log cabin atmosphere. Her home is located in a subdivision and the main floors are decorated in a traditional decor.  She was fun to work with and had a vision of what she wanted.  The whole lower level is done as a log cabin and the home theater is in one corner of the lower level, as if you were looking at the log cabin from the outside. We used real logs that came from northern Michigan, fiber optics in the ceiling to emulate constellations and an expert muralist (Gregg Bugala) to help create the illusion of being outside.
