I have been working with a lot of clients who want their home accessories and artwork to mean something to them (not just fill a space).
These pieces can tell a story, paint a picture or bring back a memory.
I spend a lot of time at markets looking for unique items (one-of-a-kind, hand-made and items that I can customize). I have found some great cottage industry companies that hire artists to create unique quality items. Every market is something new and exciting.
Below are some examples of artwork, accessories and lighting I have found for my clients.
This set of five candlesticks may be scattered individually across a tabletop or arranged into a sensuous tangle of vines.
This 51"d iron frame mirror is hand crimped and scalloped with hand painted bronzing and solid brass balls. It is finished off with glass trim all around the edge.
The lamp has hand blown tear glass in light gold and white speckles, antique pewter base and other leaf details. The iron decorative shade has translucent, light peach bead trim.
A beautiful gold and aqua carnivale bowl centerpiece filled with 4” crystal spheres and flanked by crystal honeycomb candleholder/vases.
Bursts of fully sculpted antique gold leaf rays radiate a fiery light from an inner convex mirror. The sunburst signature of the French “Sun King” Louis XIV became a popular motif in Spain and throughout Latin America as well.
This mirror was hand carved from mahogany wood. Most mirrors you see today are resin.
In this room my client wanted a large painting over their 116" sofa that would work with their color scheme and have a graceful, feminine feel. They were thrilled with what I found.
My client wanted something striking for their foyer. I found this crackled turquoise lacquer chest and some interesting accessories. We used a dazzling sunburst mirror that has a double layer of undulating rays.
I hope this gives you an idea of all the unique artwork, accessories and lighting that can be used to personalize your home.
