How do I discover my personal interior design style?  Your home shouldn’t look like your neighbors.

There are a lot of beautiful model homes in Frisco, Texas to draw inspiration from, but you should find the interior design style that is right for you. We all have different likes and dislikes.  Some people may want a dark dramatic room whereas someone else would love a light understated look.  Some people like contemporary, while others prefer traditional, country french or neo-classical.  What do you like?

Some people want a very formal look which is good for entertaining clients and business people, whereas others prefer an informal, more casual look. Do you want a more sophisticated look or a more down to earth casual look?  Do you want a cooler or warmer feeling?

Look in magazines or the internet to get inspiration. Think about how you want to feel in your space. Think about how you will use the space. Your interior designer should ask you a lot of questions to help you discover your interior design style

There are 3 ways to discover your personal interior design style.  They are:

 1.  by finding pictures of home interiors in magazines and books that you like

 2.  by looking at different styles of homes and rooms on the internet.

 3.  by talking to a professional interior designer about different styles and what you like.
